ABOUT MRS. ROGERS
|
Hello Students & Families,
I am so excited to be a part of the RSE family as the new FLI in the CL&I this coming school year. I can hardly wait to share my passion of reading and learning with every student at RSE. I hope to cultivate a love of all types of literature while also providing a fun, innovative, engaging, and safe learning environment for students to explore their passions and discover new ones. This will be my 12th year in education. I spent seven years teaching kindergarten and four years teaching 3rd grade at Dripping Springs Elementary School. I also grew up here in Dripping Springs. In fact, I am what one might call a “lifer," meaning I went to school here kindergarten through graduation in 2002. I then went to Texas State University where I graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor degree in International Business and a minor in Spanish. It is a life goal of mine to be bilingual and when my children get older I hope to spend many summers abroad with my family learning the language and culture. In 2008 I received my teaching certificate from Educators of Excellence in Austin, TX. My husband, Jeremy, and I recently made the move from South Austin to Dripping Springs and we are thrilled to raise our two little girls, Ruby (5yrs) and Piper (2yrs), in this wonderful community. In my free time, I love to craft, swim, cook, and read! I'm a foodie! I love to eat good food and am always up for trying something new unless it has olives or goat cheese. I haven't developed a taste for those foods yet. I can't wait to do fun projects with you and help you find new favorite books this year! Check out the Summer Reading log and bring it to the center on Meet the Teacher night where I'll have a special reward for you! See you soon! Warmly, Mrs. Rogers |
